Retired K9 Bak Dies After 9.5-Year Successful Career With Harford Co. Sheriff's Office
Retired K9 Bak has died after enjoying a successful 9.5-year career with the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Retired Harford County Sheriff's Office K9 Bak has died. Bak served for 9.5 years alongside Senior Deputy Shawn Forton.
Bak not only functioned as a narcotics detection K9 and made more than 30 controlled dangerous substances recoveries, he also was assigned to the Harford County Detention Center for patrol purposes and helped apprehend disorderly inmates.
The sheriff's office described Bak as "a valuable asset to our agency and community."

"Bak will be deeply missed, not only by his handler and colleagues, but also by those he protected and served. He has left a lasting mark on the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, and we will forever be grateful for his dedicated service," the sheriff's office shared on Facebook.
