Tree Fell Across Road In Abingdon During Storms

A downed tree temporarily shut down MD 7 in Abingdon Thursday afternoon, state highway officials said.

ABINGDON, MD — A road was temporarily closed in Harford County after a storm Thursday afternoon, according to state transportation officials.

MD 7/Philadelphia Road was closed at Pomeroy Avenue, authorities reported at 2:20 p.m.

A tree was down in the area, the Maryland State Highway Administration reported.

By 4 p.m., officials said the tree had been cleared, and the road reopened.
