HARFORD COUNTY, MD — With high winds and frigid temperatures arriving in Harford County Friday and lasting through the weekend, county department of public works highways crews have prepped 50 pieces of equipment to treat icy road conditions. The county also is working with area utility providers in the event of "significant" power outages.

“With more people on the road as the holiday weekend begins, we ask motorists to use extreme caution traveling on Friday as wet conditions will quickly turn to freezing,” Harford County Emergency Services Director Rick Ayers said.

“My team and I will be closely monitoring conditions as the storm moves through and very cold temperatures settle in for the weekend," added Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly.
