Road Rage Involved Shooting, Stolen Vehicle In Edgewood: Sheriff
A shooting connected to a road rage case in Harford County has sparked an investigation, officials say.
EDGEWOOD, MD — Authorities say they are investigating a road rage incident in Edgewood that ended in a shooting. The victim was treated for cuts and abrasions, officials reported, and a search for the suspect is underway.
Officers were called to Willoughby Beach Road at Oak Street at 4:35 p.m. Sunday for a report of a shooting, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
They found a man who had cuts and abrasions in a gray car who said he had been driving on Willoughby Beach Road when two vehicles passed and began gesturing at and taunting him, according to authorities. He followed them to Flying Point Park, where one of the men challenged him to a fight, told him to follow and drove away, according to authorities.

The man rolled down his window in the area of Palmetto Drive and Redbud Road and fired at the victim’s vehicle, the sheriff's office reported. When the victim tried to get away, he hit the suspect's vehicle in the process, according to investigators.
The victim suffered cuts unrelated to gunfire and was treated by medics for injuries at the scene, officials said.

Deputies responding to the shooting call said they saw a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle near MD 24 at Trimble Road and tried unsuccessfully to stop the car, which was going the opposite direction, at 4:39 p.m. The vehicle was later found, abandoned, in the 300 block of McCann Street, investigators said.
At 4:53 p.m, deputies said they were called to Flying Point Park for the report of a stolen vehicle and found it had been involved in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
