Robert 'Dutch' Seger, 83, of Bel Air

Robert “Dutch” Seger, 83 of Bel Air, passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2016, at his home.

Born in Marion, Iowa, he was the son of the late Cecil Sigsby Seger and Gladys (Bancroft) Seger and husband of the late Jean (Boggs) Seger. Mr. Seger was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as an Aerospace Engineer. He loved musical theater and was heavily involved in the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Society of Automotive Engineers.

He is survived by his son, Christopher R. Seger; his daughters, Jennifer J. Seger of Umdloti, South Africa, Melinda Snader of New Holland, PA and Juliet P. Seger of Bel Air; grandchildren, Joseph Seger of New Orleans, LA, Jennifer Aguglia of Forest Hill, Hannah Bucklin of Sinking Spring, PA, Kelsey Snader of Denver, CO, Taylor Rexroth of Abingdon and Rio Segal of Umdloti, South Africa; and great-grandchildren, Lucian Bucklin and Evangeline Bucklin of Sinking Spring, PA. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Virginia Collins and Barbara A. Harris.

Visitation will be held at Mt. Carmel Chapel of Bel Air UMC, Bel Air, MD on Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
