Rockfield Manor Collects 462 Toys At Tree Lighting
Santa came to the tree lighting, where a Toys for Tots drive helped brighten the holidays for Harford County children.

BEL AIR, MD — Rockfield Manor held a Christmas tree lighting this week that resulted in a sizable donation to the Toys for Tots program. The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve coordinates Toys for Tots to give new, unwrapped toys to children who are economically disadvantaged.
At the Rockfield Manor tree lighting, admission was free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy.
According to Rockfield Manor, 462 toys were collected during the event, and more than $2,000 was raised for Toys for Tots.

Santa came to the tree lighting, and so did the Bel Air Police Department, which described the event as "beautiful."
The Harford County Toys for Tots campaign runs through the middle of the month, with most collection sites taking donations until Monday, Dec. 17.

All donations benefit children in Harford County, giving them a "message of hope" for the holidays, according to organizers.

People can apply to receive a toy through for Toys for Tots; the deadline is Saturday, Dec. 15.
