Roof Collapses At Edgewood Townhouse

EDGEWOOD, MD — Two people were injured Wednesday after the ceiling in a townhouse collapsed on them, scattering stuffing and debris all over a bedroom.

A couple had been lying in bed watching television when suddenly, the ceiling above them came crashing down, they said.

Rescue workers with the Harford County Department of Emergency Services, the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company and the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company arrived at the townhouse, located in the 1600 block of Meadowood Court.

One person was taken by ambulance by the county to the hospital while the other person was transported by the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company EMTs.
