Roundabout at Plumtree, Tollgate Roads Nears Completion
The county's newest roundabout will open within weeks, according to Harford County Department of Public Works.
BEL AIR, MD — Public works officials say the roundabout on Tollgate at Plumtree roads will open on Oct. 7.
Contractors have been installing the roundabout, storm water controls and sidewalks since August.
A curb and gutters were just added, Harford County officials reported Monday, stating: "...the roundabout is beginning to take shape. Estimated completion date remains to be on or about October 7th."

The project also includes modification of the traffic signal at MD 24.
The so-called "missing" section of Tollgate Road between Bel Air South Parkway and Plumtree Road is expected to be added and opened by spring 2017, county officials said.

That addition is part of a 198-apartment community called Avanti Luxury Apartments, previously known as Evergreen Woods.
The developer is paying half of the estimated $700,000 cost of the traffic improvements, county officials told The Aegis last year.
