Route 24 Motorcycle Crash Sends Two To Hospital: Officials
One person was flown for treatment after a crash on MD 24 Wednesday evening in Harford County.
FOREST HILL, MD — One person was in critical condition Wednesday following a crash on MD 24, according to officials. Another person was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, authorities said.
As emergency officials responded to the crash, Route 24 was closed in the area for about an hour.
Authorities said they were called to a collision on Route 24 at Newport Drive at 5:33 p.m.

There was an ejection from a motorcycle involved in the crash, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
One person was flown to a regional trauma center in critical condition, Chenworth said. A second person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life threatening, she reported.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, according to state transportation officials.
Fire department and law enforcement officials remained at the scene after 6 p.m., and Route 24 was closed at Newport Drive. People were advised to avoid the area.
Fire crews had cleared the area by 6:32 p.m., according to Chenworth.
By 7:18 p.m., the Maryland State Highway Administration reported all lanes on Route 24 had reopened.
