Route 24 Crash: Officials Say Three Hospitalized

Three people were injured in a crash at the intersection of MD 24 at Wheel Road on Wednesday night, the Abingdon Fire Company reported.

BEL AIR, MD — Three people were hospitalized as the result of a crash Wednesday night on MD 24 at Wheel Road. At least one person was trapped and had to be rescued, according to the Abingdon Fire Company.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash at the intersection of MD 24 at Wheel Road West at 8:24 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, the fire company reported.

Soon after crews arrived, everyone was rescued from their vehicles, according to the Abingdon Fire Company, which took two people two a regional trauma center for treatment.

Bel Air medical personnel took one additional person to a local hospital, officials reported.

In addition to Bel Air and Abingdon, officials said crews from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to assist.

Maryland State Police is handling the investigation.
