Stabbing On Edgewood Road Under Investigation: Harford Sheriff
A Baltimore man was stabbed and injured near MD 24 Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A man was hospitalized following a stabbing in Edgewood Thursday afternoon that left him seriously injured, according to authorities. The suspect remains at large.
Deputies said they responded to a reported stabbing at 12:30 p.m. near Edgewood Road at MD 24 and found a 28-year-old Baltimore man who had been stabbed in the upper body multiple times. He had been walking on Edgewood Road when another man came up to him from behind, grabbed his bag and stabbed him, investigators reported.
The assailant took off toward US 40, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Crews from the Abingdon Fire Company took the victim to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment, officials said. While they were described as serious, authorities said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
From approximately 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Edgewood Road was closed from MD 24/Emmorton Road to US 40/Pulaski Highway. By 3:30 p.m., officials said the road had reopened.
