Saladworks To Open In Bel Air

A restaurant specializing in salads and quick healthy meals will open in the Tollgate Marketplace.

BEL AIR, MD — Saladworks is planning to open in the Tollgate Marketplace. Once the restaurant is ready to welcome customers for business, it will serve fresh salads, soups, grain bowls and wraps.

The eatery will occupy 2,647 square feet in the shopping center off Baltimore Pike, in the space next door to Firehouse Subs, according to the Tollgate Marketplace leasing brochure. One spot next door, which is nearly 3,000 square feet, is under negotiation, the brochure says.

Bel Air native Amanda Johnson plans to open Saladworks in her hometown in November, according to a franchisee spotlight profile from the company. For the past 12 years she has been working with her father, who is a Burger King franchisee in the area, but she said as a mother of two young children, she wanted to bring a healthier option to Bel Air.
