SARC Balloon Glow Gala Sold Out; Still Time to Sponsor or Win a Saxon’s Shopping Spree

SARC’s sold-out, seventh annual Balloon Glow Gala will take place on Saturday, September 10 at the Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy a full dinner and open bar, an exciting live auction, dancing to live music by “Don’t Stop” and the highlight of the night—a stunning view of lighted hot air balloons against the evening sky. All proceeds from the gala go towards helping victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking become survivors

Missed the chance to get a ticket? Sponsorships for this highly-attended event are still available, as are a limited number of raffle tickets with the chance to win a $4,000 shopping spree courtesy of Saxon’s Diamond Centers. Tickets are $50 each or five for $100 and can be purchased on the SARC website.

Due in part to the success of last year’s Balloon Glow Gala, SARC was able to help 1,670 people, field 2,389 helpline calls, provide 9,536 nights of safe shelter, offer 1,225 counseling sessions to children and adults, give 1,056 legal safety planning sessions, complete 273 attorney court proceedings and present outreach and educational presentations in schools and workplaces. Since its inception, all of SARC’s services have been provided free of charge thanks to the support of donations and sponsorships from the local community.

The theme of this year’s gala is “My Big Fat Greek Gala” and the dress code is smart casual. The live auction includes ten high-end items including a “House of Cards” super fan experience featuring a set tour and prop pulled directly from the wardrobe room on set; a long weekend getaway to Ocean City complete with basket of cheer; a breathtaking hot air balloon ride for two; gourmet meal preparations; Ravens games; spa days; golf outings and more. Auction item winners and the shopping spree raffle winner will be announced during the event.
