Scam Emails From Bel Air Town Hall Circulating

BEL AIR, MD — Residents are reminded that fraudulent emails that appear to be from the town of Bel Air and request money are scams.

The emails appear to be from the town of Bel Air and ask the recipient to send money via wire transfer to pay outstanding fees.

"The Town of Bel Air will never request payment by wire transfer. If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from the town, do not send money. Do not click links or open attachments. Do not reply to the email," the town stated.

Email recipients are encouraged to verify the request to pay fees by contacting town officials directly by calling town hall at 410-638-4550 or by email at townclerk@belairmd.org.
