Semi Crashes Into Broken Down Tractor-Trailer, 3 Injured: Police

Three people were injured when a semi traveling along Interstate 95 in Harford County ran into a broken down semi.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Two tractor-trailers collided early Friday morning along northbound Interstate 95 in Harford County.

The crash unfolded around 1:45 a.m. Investigators with the Maryland State Police shared that the driver of the 2015 freightliner could not avoid hitting a 2012 freightliner that was broken down in the road and crashed into the semi.

A semi driver and passenger in the 2015 tractor-trailer were flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment. The driver of the other semi was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical center.
