Serious Crash On Tollgate Road Required Medevac: Officials
A serious crash caused a large emergency response near Emmorton Elementary School, officials said.
BEL AIR, MD — Rescuers were called to the scene of a serious crash on South Tollgate Road Thursday night that led to a request for a helicopter, officials said. Drivers were advised to take alternate routes.
The crash happened after 6 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Tollgate Road, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association. The location is near Emmorton Elementary School.
One woman was trapped and in serious condition, and additional emergency medical responders were summoned to the scene, Chenworth reported after 6:30 p.m.

Crews from Bel Air and Abingdon responded to the incident, according to Chenworth.

There were "significant traffic delays" around the collision, she said, advising drivers to avoid the area.
