A severe thunderstorm has prompted an alert from the National Weather Service. Weather officials said they issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Harford and Baltimore counties after radar detected a severe thunderstorm over Kingsville that was moving southeast at 10 mph.
The storm may have 60 mph winds and quarter-sized hail, according to the warning.
Winds may cause trees and large branches to fall, which could injure those outside or damage homes and vehicles or block roads. Power outages are possible.
