Severe Thunderstorm Warning Canceled For Harford County
Storms with 60 mph wind gusts have left Harford, the National Weather Service advised.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 10 p.m. in Harford County on Monday, July 22. The severe thunderstorm warning was canceled at 4:45 p.m. after the National Weather Service said the storm that prompted it moved out of the area.
Harford County is under a flash flood watch until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, since rounds of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain Monday may total up to 4 inches. As much of the rain may fall in short periods of time in the same location, increasing the likelihood of flash flooding.
Earlier, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued as a storm with 60 mph wind gusts headed for Harford. Initially, the National Weather Service issued the warning for northern Harford County after radar showed a severe thunderstorm north of Cockeysville was moving east at 35 mph, officials said.
