Silent Witness Initiative Program Recognizes Domestic Violence Victims Oct. 1
The Silent Witness Initiative Program will take place Sunday and recognize victims of domestic murders in Harford County.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — October happens to be Domestic Violence Awareness Month and every year since 2001, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Harford County participates in the Silent Witness Initiative Program.
This year’s program will be held Oct. 1 at noon at the Fellowship’s home at 2515 Churchville Road in Churchville and it is open to the public. During the program, the wooden silhouettes representing victims of domestic murders in Harford County placed along Churchville Road are unveiled in a ceremony of healing and affirmation of life.
This year’s program will include speakers' reflections, as well as readings and
musical selections. It will follow regular Sunday service, which begins at 10:30 a.m., and all are
welcome to attend services prior to the program.
