Sinkhole Closes Route 136: State Highway Administration
Emergency roadwork is underway in Churchville after a sinkhole formed, according to the State Highway Administration.
CHURCHVILLE, MD — A sinkhole has shut down MD 136 in Harford County Tuesday afternoon — and officials say the closure will continue for days. More than 1 mile of roadway is closed to traffic as crews address the situation.
Route 136 is closed between Cool Branch Road and Harmony Church Road, the Maryland State Highway Administration reported around 3 p.m. The closure impacts a 1.3-mile stretch of Route 136.
"The closure will be several days," according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Route 136 will only be accessible to local traffic between US 1 and MD 22, the association reported.
