Smoke Draws Firefighters To Kirkland's In Bel Air Plaza
Firefighters converged at the Bel Air Plaza, where they were dispatched to a home decor store Monday for a report of smoke.

BEL AIR, MD — Firefighters were called to the Bel Air Plaza Monday morning for a report of smoke inside a store. The issue was traced to a malfunctioning electrical device, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.
He said the smoke was reported at Kirkland's. The home decor store in the 500 block of Baltimore Pike is located between AT&T and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
At 9:30 a.m., there was a report of smoke inside the back of the store, according to Gardiner.

Volunteers from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company and Abingdon Fire Company were dispatched to area, Gardiner said, where they found a malfunctioning air conditioner caused the issue.

Nobody was injured, according to Gardiner.
