Sobriety Checkpoint in Harford County Planned Friday: Maryland State Police
With police checking for impaired drivers this weekend in Harford County, refresh your memory on the law and plan ahead.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — State troopers will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Harford County on Friday, Sept. 23, officials announced.
The Bel Air Barrack of Maryland State Police is overseeing the initiative, with the goal of finding impaired drivers and raising awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence.
Officials did not disclose the location or hours of this weekend's checkpoint other than to say that it would occur on Friday, Sept. 23, in Harford County.

More than 55 percent of all crashes in which a driver was impaired in the state of Maryland occurred on Friday, Saturday or early Sunday, according to recent Motor Vehicle Administration data.
The legal blood alcohol concentration in the state is 0.08.

"Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack would like to wish everyone a safe and sober weekend," officials said in a statement.
