Son Charged In Mother's Murder In Bel Air: Harford Sheriff

The 16-year-old boy has been charged as an adult, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reports.

BEL AIR, MD - A teen has been charged as an adult with murder in the death of his mother in Bel Air.

Andrew Zaragoza, 16, of the 1000 block of Jeanett Way, has been charged with first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault and use of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, officials said.

The charges stem from the death of his mother, Zonna Zaragoza, who was found deceased at their home on Thursday, July 20, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

After a bail review on Monday, July 24, authorities ruled that Andrew Zaragoza would be held at the Harford County Detention Center without bail.

A preliminary hearing in his case is slated for Wednesday, Aug. 23, in Harford County District Court.
