Student Injured After Bus Hit By Suspected Drunk Driver: Police
A suspected drunk driver rear-ended a bus in Bel Air, causing minor injuries to a student on board, the sheriff's office reported.
BEL AIR, MD — A 28-year-old man has been charged with driving under the influence and other charges after rear-ending a school bus Wednesday.
Harford County sheriff's deputies were called to the intersection of Route 543 and the Hickory Bypass in Bel Air shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a crash involving a school bus.
Once on scene, deputies discovered that the driver had left the scene in his vehicle, but was found at a nearby convenience store. The driver, Samuel Griffin, was later charged with DUI, driving under the influence per se, driving while impaired by alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, and leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury, according to the sheriff's office.

One student on the bus was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, the sheriff's office stated.
