Student Wins Countywide Short Story Contest
Harford Day School's 8th Grade student wins competition

Harford Day School’s eighth grade student, Mackenzie Newburg-Snyder won first place in the Write This! Contest. Write This! a countywide writing contest put on by the Harford County Public Library. The contest is open to grades 6 through 12. Entrants write an original short story choosing one place, a person and an item from a pre-chosen list. Mackenzie’s story titled Flashback was chosen as the winner from 22 entries. Morgan Michael, HCPL Teen Librarian and contest judge said “It was truly a wonderful story, really impressive and as a judge I can say it brought tears to my eyes”
