Suspect Arrested In Non-Fatal Stabbing Of Acquaintance: Harford County Sheriff's Office

A suspect has been arrested in the non-fatal stabbing of his acquaintance Monday morning in Abingdon, according to the sheriff's office.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A suspect has been arrested after a non-fatal stabbing happened in Abingdon Monday morning.

Harford County sheriff's deputies were called to the 3500 block of Woodsdale Road in Abingdon Sept. 11 around 11:13 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. Deputies found John Edward Leura, 44, of Aberdeen, with a stab wound to the upper body. They began rendering aid until medics arrived and took him to a local trauma center, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies identified the suspect as David Alexander Barmer, 53, of Abingdon. Deputies found his vehicle and took him into custody during a traffic stop without incident. Barmer and Leura knew each other, the sheriff's office noted.
