Package On Route 924 Deemed Safe: Sheriff
A section of Route 924 reopened after authorities investigated a suspicious package, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — After a brief investigation into a suspicious package, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported that MD 924 was once again open to traffic. Officials said that the package in question was deemed safe and not a threat.
Deputies had been dispatched to the 2100 block of Emmorton Road for a report of a suspicious package before 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25.
As officials worked to secure the area, Route 924 was closed between Bel Air South Parkway and Bright Oaks Drive; nearby businesses were evacuated; and the Office of the State Fire Marshal was called to the scene, according to authorities.

After 8:30 p.m., the sheriff's office reported that deputies were clearing the scene, and Route 924 had reopened.
