Bomb Squad Called To Maryland House For Suspicious Package
Police said a suspicious package was found outside the I-95 rest area in Harford County, causing a temporary closure of the facility, ramps.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – Police said that a suspicious package was found outside Maryland House in Harford County on Thursday evening. The rest area off Interstate 95 was evacuated as a precaution and was closed for more than an hour.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal said that the bomb squad was called to the scene at 4:50 p.m. when the owner of a vehicle found a suspicious package under his vehicle.
Maryland State Police reported that its investigators were at the scene after 5:30 p.m.

In addition to evacuating and closing the rest area, access to the facility was restricted from the highway during the investigation. The ramps to Maryland House from I-95 were closed as of 5:45 p.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
Maryland State Police and the Baltimore County Bomb Squad x-rayed the package and deemed it nonhazardous. Authorities said the incident was classified as a "good intent call."

Nobody was injured, and there were no damages, according to officials.
By 7:10 p.m., authorities said that Maryland House had reopened.
