Taco Bell Robbed, Workers Forced Into Locker: Bel Air Police

Someone with a baseball bat robbed the Taco Bell restaurant, the Bel Air Police Department reported.

BEL AIR, MD - A Taco Bell in Bel Air was held up early Tuesday morning, according to police. The robber is at large and has not been identified.

At 6:46 a.m., the suspect was armed with a baseball bat when he forced his way into the restaurant in the 500 block of Baltimore Pike as the Taco Bell was preparing to open, officials reported.

He forced the employees into the food locker and demanded that they open the safe, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to authorities.

Three people were inside the restaurant - a 20-year-old Joppa man, a 24-year-old Bel Air woman and a 62-year-old Belcamp woman - the Bel Air Police Department reported.

Police said the suspect's face was concealed during the robbery, and surveillance footage is pending.
