Tactical Officers Converge In Bel Air Neighborhood
A drug investigation described as "active and ongoing" drew police to a Bel Air community Friday, according to Maryland State Police.
BEL AIR, MD — Neighbors in a Bel Air community were on alert Friday as tactical police officers converged at a home in their area. The officers, who were reportedly clad in black uniforms as well as camouflage, were part of a drug investigation that police said was active as of Friday night.
Community members told Bel Air Patch that they saw a tank-like truck with a battering ram as well as unmarked vehicles on South Lynbrook Road on Friday, July 12.
Officers "got on a bullhorn telling people to come out, or they were coming in," according to information submitted to Bel Air Patch from the scene. "They apparently got two people out of the house," and there was "a lot of glass shattering and loud pops."

"This is an active and ongoing drug investigation," Maryland State Police spokeswoman Elena Russo told Patch after 5 p.m. on Friday. There was no further information about the case.
