Teen Found Shot In Edgewood High School Parking Lot: Sheriff

Authorities say they are actively investigating the death of a 19-year-old found Friday after a reported shooting by Edgewood High School.

EDGEWOOD, MD — A homicide is under investigation in Edgewood. A man was found shot to death in the parking lot of Edgewood High School Friday night, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. There were no school activities going on at the time, authorities said, and the school was closed.

Thailek Jacob Willis, 19, of Edgewood, was found shot in the upper body in a vehicle in the parking lot of the high school in the 2400 block of Willoughby Beach Road, officials reported.

Deputies said they were called to the area at 9:19 p.m. for a reported shooting. Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company medics took Willis to the hospital, where authorities said he was pronounced deceased.

Officials described the investigation Saturday as "active and ongoing."
