Missing Teen Has Been Found: Police

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Officials said that a teen who disappeared Wednesday afternoon was found. She was located and is safe, the Aberdeen Police Department reported.

The 17-year-old had last been seen in Bel Air Wednesday afternoon, police reported before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Desiree Smith, 17, was wearing a dark blue, long-sleeved shirt with blue jeans, Nike sneakers and a "best friends" necklace, officials said.

Police reported before 11 p.m. Wednesday that Smith had been located.
