Teen Stranded Across Creek Rescued By Swift Water Team: Harford County Official

A teenager stranded across a creek was rescued by Harford County's swift water rescue team along with other firefighters and volunteers.

EDGEWOOD, MD — A teenager stuck across a creek one-fourth of a mile down a trail in Edgewood had to be rescued by emergency workers Monday night.

Shortly before 8 p.m., volunteer firefighters from the Abingdon Fire Company, the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company and a special operations team along with EMS workers with the Harford County Department of Emergency Services were called to the 2600 block of Perry Avenue to help the teen. The volunteer swift water rescue team and the Aberdeen Fire Department boats were dispatched around 20 minutes later, according to the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

Around 8:50 p.m., the fire company reported that the teen and all rescuers were safely out of the water and the teen had been reunited with its family.
