Thanksgiving Food Drive Starts Nov. 1 With Drop-Off Locations Across Harford County

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — With the holiday season looming, residents can contribute to Harford County's Thanksgiving Food Drive that assists local families struggling to make ends meet and who may be facing food insecurity.

Donations will be accepted Nov. 1-22 at designated locations across the county and will be delivered to the food pantry at Harford Community Action Agency. Non-perishable foods and other items such as diapers will be accepted in county government buildings and at parks and recreation facilities and senior centers.

The most needed items at the pantry are:

• Shelf-stable milk including soy or almond
• Breakfast items
• Instant mashed potatoes
• Canned meat, chicken, tuna or salmon
• Beef stew and chili
• Peanut butter
• Meal makers
• Canned soup and fruit
• Fruit juice, 100%
• Nuts or seeds
• Pasta
• Diapers (any size)
• Toiletries such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo or other hygiene products

Donations can be taken to the following locations:

• Harford County Dept. of Housing & Community Services, 15 S. Main Street and 125 N. Main St., Bel Air
