​Theresa Michelle Lewis, 50, Of Forest Hill

Theresa Michelle (Breland) Lewis, 50, of Forest Hill, passed away on Sept. 9, 2017, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.

Born in Syracuse, New York, she was the daughter of Edith (Howard) Breland and the late Lenward Breland.

She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta and a graduate of Morgan State University. She was a former member of the YMCA Community Advisory Group, a GEEF Inc. board member, and Harford Leadership Academy graduate. She volunteered with Treasured Jewels and the Sharing Table. She was recognized by President George W. Bush for "Outstanding Service to the Department of Defense."

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, Bruce D. Lewis Jr.; sons, Ephraim Lewis, Timothy "TJ" Lewis, daughter Jemez Lewis; and sister, Lenita (Larry) Kellam of Syracuse, New York; sisters-in-law, Carmen Sparrow (Michael), Felicia Lewis and Chumaine Lewis; and father and mother in-law Bruce D. Lewis Sr. and Patricia A. Lewis.

Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, at McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, 1317 Cokesbury Rd., Abingdon, MD 21009.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Cook Auditorium, Mountain Christian Church, 1824 Mountain Road, Joppa, MD 21085.
