Tollgate Road Closure Sparked By Utility Lines: Bel Air VFC
A half-mile stretch of Tollgate Road is closed Wednesday night, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reported.
BEL AIR, MD — A section of Tollgate Road is closed Wednesday evening in Bel Air due to a power line situation, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. Downed wires were arcing, crews said.
Bel Air firefighters were called to the area of Tollgate Road between Boulton Street and the Harford County Equestrian Center in the 600 block of North Tollgate Road, officials reported.
Tollgate Road was expected to be closed for two to three hours, authorities said at approximately 5:15 p.m.

The BGE outage map showed there were two outages along Tollgate Road after 6 p.m., one impacting nearly 600 customers near the equestrian center and another that resulted in five outages in the area of Cider Mill Road. Before 6:30 p.m., the power had reportedly switched back on for those west of US 1.
