Tornado Watch Issued For 5 Counties, Baltimore City
Officials say a tornado is possible in parts of central, northern and southern Maryland.
BALTIMORE, MD — Multiple counties and Baltimore City are under a tornado watch, according to the National Weather Service. It is in effect from 2:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
Tornado damage and utility disruptions may occur, forecasters said, noting the storm may peel roofs off buildings, snap trees, topple chimneys and pull boats from their moorings.
Tropical Storm Isaias was about 80 miles south of Washington, D.C., or 110 miles south of Baltimore, at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday. Packing 70 mph winds, the storm was moving north-northeast at 33 mph.

The National Weather Service issued the tornado watch for the following areas until noon Tuesday:
- Anne Arundel County
- Baltimore City
- Baltimore County
- Calvert County
- Harford County
- St. Mary's County
The watch listed the following cities: Aberdeen, Annapolis, Arnold, Baltimore, Bel Air, California, Catonsville, Chesapeake Beach, Dundalk, Dunkirk, Edgewood, Essex, Fallston, Glen Burnie, Havre de Grace, Huntington, Joppatowne, Lexington Park, Lusby, North Beach, Odenton, Parkville, Pikesville, Prince Frederick, Randallstown, Severn, Severna Park, South Gate and Towson.
