Torrential Rain To Whip Through Harford County: Weather Service
Take cover immediately, as strong winds and hail have been reported with this storm, the National Weather Service advises.

BALTIMORE, MD - The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Baltimore and Harford counties Thursday evening calling for hail and winds up to 60 mph.
A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for northwestern Harford County until 6:45 p.m. after trained weather spotters reported a line of storms north of Jarrettsville at 6:22 p.m. moving northeast at 30 mph.
Pylesville, Cardiff, Chrome Hill, Street, Rocks, Scarboro and Whiteford are in the warning area.

A separate severe thunderstorm warning for Bel Air expired at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3.
That was issued after a severe thunderstorm was reported near Fallston at 5:52 p.m., weather officials said.

Trees down and large hail accompanied that storm.
"Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay away from windows," the National Weather Service said in a statement. "Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways."
Locations affected by the severe thunderstorm may include the following, according to the weather service: Bel Air North, Fallston, Pleasant Hills, Benson, Hydes and Baldwin.
Previously, the storm was near Cockeysville at 5:37 p.m. and was headed northeast at 20 mph, according to weather officials, who said torrential rainfall was reported, along with 70 mph winds.
