Town of Bel Air Sets Date for Christmas Parade

Stilt-walkers, tree lighting and equestrian guests are on the schedule for the holiday celebration.

The town of Bel Air has announced the lineup for its annual Christmas celebration.

The parade down Main Street will start at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7. Get ready to be entertained by a steady stream including floats, marching bands, Santa and Mrs. Claus, stilt-walkers, acrobats, local beauty queens, dancers and special equestrian guests, among others.

The 2014 festivities will follow this schedule on Dec. 7, according to the town:

  • 2:30 p,m.—Concert on Main Street in front of courthouse
  • 3:30 p.m.—Parade starts at corner of Main Street and Churchville Road, proceeds to Lee Street and ends at Shamrock Park
  • 4:15 p.m.—Community bonfire and sing-along in Shamrock Park with free hot chocolate and cookies
  • 5 p.m.—Tree lighting in Shamrock Park

In the event of bad weather, the event will be cancelled; there will be no makeup date.
