Tractor Fire At Shaw Orchards Under Investigation By MD State Fire Marshal

A tractor fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office. The tractor belongs to Shaw Orchards in Harford County.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A tractor was found on fire at Shaw Orchards in White Hall Sept. 9. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal, estimated loss is valued at $19,000.

Eight firefighters with the Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company reigned in the blaze within about 10 minutes. The fire is under investigation by the state fire marshal's office.

Shaw Orchards is a fourth generation family farm located on the state line. The market is open from late May through Thanksgiving. They sell fresh fruit from the orchards, as well as locally produced vegetables, flowers, honey and more. There's also pick-your-own strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, apples and pumpkins.
