4-Mile Backup Followed Harford County Crash: MDTA

A collision jammed traffic in both directions on Interstate 95 Monday afternoon.

A multi-vehicle crash in Harford County led to miles of congestion Monday afternoon for travelers headed north on Interstate 95.

Before 1:30 p.m., a three-vehicle collision was reported on I-95 north before the exit for MD 543.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority reported there was a 4-mile backup on I-95 north before the Route 543 exit.

Drivers on I-95 north were in traffic from White Marsh, while those headed south were jammed from Aberdeen to the crash scene, according to WNEW.

By 3 p.m., transportation officials reported the crash had cleared.

At 3:17 p.m., the backups on I-95 north near MD 543 were gone, according to Maryland Transportation Authority.
