Baltimore Pike Reopens After Utility Work

BEL AIR, MD — Problems with utilities closed part of Belair Road/Baltimore Pike near Bel Air Friday, according to authorities. The road was closed to southbound traffic at Lake Fanny Road, officials said.

Baltimore Pike at Lake Fanny Road reopened before 1 p.m., the Maryland State Highway Administration reported.

The closure took effect before 10 a.m. and was expected to last about for hours, the Maryland State Highway Administration previously said, meaning the southbound lanes were expected to reopen by 2 p.m.
