Traffic Impact 'Severe' From Abingdon Water Main Break: Officials

ABINGDON, MD — A water main break is expected to tie up traffic Thursday in Abingdon. Severe traffic impacts are expected, according to the Harford County Department of Emergency Services.
The large water main broke on MD 924 at Singer/Abingdon roads, according to authorities.
Drivers should avoid this area on their routes until about 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, due to the utility work, Harford County government officials said.

While the road will be open at the intersection of Abingdon/Singer roads, some turn lanes will be closed and traffic redirected, officials reported.
