Trapped Person Rescued After Guardrail Impales Vehicle: Harford County Official
A person is in stable condition after being trapped in a vehicle when a guardrail impaled the SUV, officials say.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A person trapped in an SUV that was impaled by a guardrail was rescued by emergency crews shortly after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on Route 155 near the I-95 interchange.
Two dozen volunteers arrived to find a guardrail running through the vehicle's front windshield on the passenger side and out the back of the SUV. One person was pinned inside.
It took emergency responders 17 minutes to extricate the trapped person by removing the roof, two doors and a 12-foot section of guardrail that was imbedded inside the car. The patient was airlifted to Shock Trauma in stable condition, according to the Harford County Department of Emergency Services.
