Trash Truck Hits Abingdon Residence: Fire Company

An Abingdon neighborhood was the site of a trash truck crash Monday morning, authorities said.

ABINGDON, MD — Emergency personnel are at the scene of a crash involving a trash truck in Abingdon Monday morning, according to the Abingdon Fire Company. The Harford Technical Rescue Team was dispatched to the call, along with the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, officials reported.

The trash truck crashed into a residence in Monmouth Meadows, according to Abingdon Fire officials. Crews were at the scene handlingthe incident before 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19.

Nobody was inside the residence in the 700 block of Royal Mile Drive, according to WJZ, which reported hazmat crews were called to handle any potential issues, including fuel leaks.
