Tree Kills Man In Bel Air: Report
A man reportedly died Tuesday after a tree fell on him while he was at work in Harford County.
BEL AIR, MD — A man reportedly died Tuesday after an industrial accident in Bel Air. According to authorities, he worked for a commercial tree company, and a tree that had just been cut fell on top of him.
Crews from Bel Air and Fallston were dispatched to the 100 block of Gorsuch Garth at 12:52 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
The 50-year-old man sustained a traumatic injury, Chenworth said. She reported his status as grave.

He had gone into cardiac arrest and died at the location, The Aegis reported.
The Harford County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident, according to Chenworth, while Maryland Occupational Safety and Health is also conducting a probe.

The death is being classified as an industrial accident, according to WBAL.
There have been a handful of tree-related deaths in recent years in the region.
A tree in Forest Hill fell on a man in August 2011, Patch previously reported. The 24-year-old Glen Burnie man had been working for a Joppa tree company when a piece of the tree he was cutting snapped and trapped him.
A 59-year-old Westminster man died in March 2011 as he trimmed a tree in Carroll County with friends, and the tree splintered, then fell on him.
A 77-year-old Kingsville woman was killed by a tree while getting her mail in March 2018.
