Trees, Power Lines Block Road Near Bel Air: Officials

Emergency officials said that trees and utility lines came down on a stretch of road Saturday night in Harford County.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Downed electrical lines and trees near Bel Air have closed a road Saturday night, according to officials. Pleasantville Road is impacted.

Before 11 p.m., the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company reported that the 1700 block of Pleasantville Road was blocked by trees and electrical lines.

"Please avoid the area," fire officials said, noting the location was near Putnam Road and Monford Drive.

More than 2,800 BGE customers were without power as of 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to the utility company. The National Weather Service was reporting winds above 25 mph in Harford County.

By the early hours of the morning, the number of outages was down to 400.
