Trio Suspected in Bel Air, Abingdon Deception Theft: Harford Sheriff

There's a reward for information leading to arrest, Harford County Sheriff's Office reports.

When a woman asked a stranger for help getting an item off the shelf at the Abingdon Home Goods store recently, a man took the opportunity to snatch the person’s wallet, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

Afterward, the pickpocketing man and a second woman tried to use the stranger’s credit cards at Best Buy, Kohl’s and Macy’s in Bel Air, said Cristie Kahler, spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

“They were able to use them at one store,” Kahler said, but two stores declined the cards.
