Tropical Smoothie Cafe Opening In Bel Air
The cafe that features smoothies and other freshly made foods will open along Route 1.

BEL AIR, MD – Those who like to drink their fruits and vegetables will have one more option in Bel Air starting this weekend. Tropical Smoothie Cafe will officially open to the public on Saturday, June 23.
Seasonal, classic and superfood smoothies are on the menu. Customers can add supplements or vitamins to their drinks.
Current seasonal selections are the "Watermelon Mojito," which includes watermelon, strawberry, lime, mint; and "Sunshine," which is made with mango, orange, banana, pineapple and orange juice.

One of the popular classic smoothies is "Sunrise Sunset," consisting of strawberries, pineapple, mango and orange juice. Among the favorite superfood smoothies are "Acai Berry Boost," made with acai, pomegranate, blueberries, banana and strawberries; and the "Avocolada," containing avocado, kale, spinach, pineapple, coconut and lime.
In addition to smoothies, Tropical Smoothie Cafe will offer flatbreads, bowls, wraps and sandwiches as well as some breakfast items.

The Tropical Smoothie franchise has more than 650 locations. The company's first retail store opened in 1998 in Tallahassee, Florida. It is now in 44 states.
The Bel Air business is located in the new commercial development that houses the Beauty Bar and Jurassic Mini Golf; it's the building where the old Kunkel auto parts business used to be off Route 1.
This weekend will be a soft opening for the cafe, which is planning to hold a grand opening the first week in July.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Bel Air will be at 331 Baltimore Pike in Bel Air. Hours will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday; and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday to Sunday.
