Medevac Responds to Serious Crash on Route 22: Officials

Harford County emergency personnel say one person was ejected in collision.

First responders say two people are injured as the result of a serious crash on MD 22/Churchville Road in Bel Air Wednesday afternoon.

Both individuals were flown to a regional trauma center, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

The collision occurred on Route 22 in the area of Prospect Mill Road, the association reported.

A helicopter was requested to take two people for medical treatment from the scene, the association reported before 4 p.m.

A man and woman were injured in the crash, and one of them was found ejected, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reported.

As of 4:15 p.m., the helicopter had landed at Harford Technical High School, according to the fire company. Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
